Fractal Properties
expand_more
Power ? Controls the exponential power in the Mandelbulb formula. Changing this creates vastly different fractal shapes.
8.0
Iterations ? Controls the number of formula iterations. Higher values create more detailed fractals but reduce performance.
9
Bailout ? Determines when a point is considered to escape to infinity. Affects the shape's boundaries.

Quality ? Controls the rendering resolution. Lower values improve performance but reduce image quality.
1.0
Detail Level ? Controls surface detail precision. Lower values show more detail but may cause artifacts.
0.001
Ray Steps ? Maximum number of steps in ray marching. Higher values improve accuracy but reduce performance.

Tips
  • Start with the "Performance" preset if you experience low frame rates.
  • Decreasing the "Quality" slider greatly improves performance.
  • Try different Power values (4-12) for dramatically different fractal shapes.
  • For the most details, increase Iterations while decreasing Epsilon.
  • Use the "Save Image" button to capture your creations.
What is a Mandelbulb?

The Mandelbulb is a three-dimensional analogue of the Mandelbrot set, constructed using spherical coordinates. It was discovered by Daniel White and Paul Nylander in 2009. The explorer allows you to visualize and navigate this complex mathematical object in real-time using your browser's WebGL capabilities.
